Starfire Spring Classic Champions 2006
Crossfire 93 Jenkins wins the Starfire Spring Classic for the second year in a row.

"Congratulations to our boys for their first tournament win of the season ... once again we rose to the occasion.

After the game both Alan Hinton and Peter Hattrup came to me and told me how much they were impressed by our team, their commitment and willingness to put their bodies on the line for the team. It was a great effort and a great final and a testament to the caliber of youth soccer in our area." Coach Tommy Jenkins comments after the final against NWN Arsenal.

Surf Cup 2006
Friday, August 25
"The boys were great. The whole idea of going to the Surf Cup was to see if we could
compete with the best teams in California and other places. We now know
we can not only compete but we can beat those teams, too.

Congratulations to all the players. It was an intense last month of
preparation, finishing with five days a week training plus scrimmages on
the weekend in extreme heat. I'm sure our preparation really helped us
in the Surf Cup." Coach Tommy's thoughts on Surf Cup 2006

Surf Cup Summary
Santa Clara Sporting 3-1 Crossfire Jenkins
Crossfire Jenkins 1-1 Bethesda Real
Notts Forest Red 0-1 Crossfire Jenkins

Crossfire finished the tournament with 12 points and were in a 3-way tie with the other 2 teams for second place in the group. Crossfire Jenkins did not advance to the quarter finals due to goal difference. All in all a great first showing, as the boys improved and gained confidence with each match.

The team is looking forward to a competitive season and the opportunity to be invited to the Surf Cup next year.

Coaching change
Sunday, October 14
Coach Tommy Jenkins has handed over his boys 93A team to Todd Stauber. Tommy will now be focusing on his 94A boys team.

The boys of Crossfire 93 Jenkins are grateful to have had Tommy as their coach since U11. The experience and knowledge that he has imparted to the team has made them better soccer players and great friends. The team looks forward to building on this strong foundation with Todd Stauber and hope to have as much success with Coach Todd as they have had with Coach Tommy.
